Training and Education Programs

HOA Board Member TrainingA professional’s need for education and training does not end upon completion of his or her formal schooling years. Today, more than ever, continuing education is paramount to maintaining and enhancing one’s skills, especially in response to changes in technology that impact virtually every profession. Well, serving on an HOA Board may not be “work,” per se—that is, it may be something you’re doing as a volunteer—but it is nevertheless a big job, and one that is best performed with a little training on the front end. After all, better-educated board members are going to make better decisions on behalf of the community.

Community Association Management believes in board member education, and offers low cost board member training that allows new or seasoned board members to familiarize themselves with the standards, rules and regulations and fiduciary responsibilities of being a volunteer in their community. Even if you are a seasoned board member, our training opportunities will allow you to keep up with the latest laws and governing regulations to help keep you informed and knowledgeable.

Topics for board training include: How to Read Your Financial Statements, Board Training for New Members, Understanding Your Reserve Fund, New Legislation Seminars, and Budgeting for Associations.

These informative seminars are open to all board members who wish to enhance their level of knowledge, understand the accounting and financial side of the association and gain better knowledge on timely topics. These comprehensive presentations are usually one to two hours in length with a Question & Answer opportunity at the end.  Starting in 2016, we will begin offering online education options for those who can not attend in person at our state of the art training facility.
