Hold that last thought. While I still don’t want someone planting azaleas where I want bougainvilleas, ivy where I want grass and a queen palm where I want a jacaranda, the only negative to not having an HOA is that sometimes —- more often than I’d like, in fact —- a front yard near my house goes to hell.
