What the AICPA SOC Seal Means to Us
This seal, called the AICPA SOC Seal, means a great deal to us. We want to share with you why it’s so important to us—and to each of our customers.
The prestigious seal is awarded to companies who have proven compliance with strict guidelines for security, availability, processing integrity, financial reporting, and confidentiality. We earned this seal after undergoing an extensive SSAE-18 Audit, administered by a third-party CPA. We didn’t just undergo this audit once, but it’s something we do every two to three years.
An SSAE Audit is a big deal. It stands for Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements. It’s an examination developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is used to confirm whether an organization’s operations are in accordance with strict guidelines and best-practice standards.
This audit isn’t mandatory. Neither the federal or state government require association management companies to undergo this audit; nor does the Association Management industry. Most HOA management firms choose not to undergo this. (Ask them.) But the audit and the seal prove our commitment to give customers the highest confidence in our services and expertise.
