SMS Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 6, 2025

These SMS Terms of Service govern text messages sent by Community Association Management, Limited (“Community,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to customers and authorized representatives of customers who have an active contractual relationship with Community.

1. Purpose of SMS Communications

Community uses SMS and MMS messaging solely for legitimate business and customer-service communications related to services we provide under an existing management or service agreement.

Messages may include communications regarding:

  • Association operations and management matters;
  • Requests for information or documentation;
  • Service updates and follow-up communications;
  • Meeting coordination or scheduling;
  • Account or administrative matters;
  • Maintenance, vendor, or operational issues;
  • Time-sensitive notices or updates;
  • Responses to questions or requests initiated by the recipient; and
  • Other communications reasonably related to services Community provides to the customer.

Community does not use this SMS program for advertising, promotional campaigns, unsolicited marketing, or the sale of products or services.

2. Consent to Receive SMS Messages

SMS messages are sent only to individuals who have provided Community with a telephone number and have consented to receive business-related text messages, including through direct communication with Community, an existing business relationship, an inbound text message, or another approved method of consent.

Providing a mobile telephone number does not authorize Community to use that number for unrelated marketing or promotional purposes.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing additional goods or services from Community.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending upon the recipient’s interactions with Community and the operational needs of the association or customer.

Community does not send recurring promotional or advertising text-message campaigns through this program.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply depending upon the recipient’s mobile carrier and service plan.

Community is not responsible for charges imposed by a mobile carrier in connection with SMS or MMS messages.

5. Opting Out

Recipients may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to a message from Community.

After an opt-out request is received, the recipient may receive a confirmation message indicating that SMS communications have been discontinued.

An individual who opts out of SMS communications may continue to receive necessary communications from Community through other available methods, including telephone, email, mail, or an applicable customer or association portal.

6. Help

Recipients may reply HELP to an SMS message for assistance.

Additional assistance is available through Community Association Management, Limited at:

Website: www.communityassociationmanagement.com

7. No Marketing or Sale of SMS Information

Community does not use telephone numbers or SMS consent obtained through this program for unsolicited marketing.

SMS consent and opt-in information will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Information may be provided to service providers that assist Community in delivering communications or providing contracted services, subject to applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements.

8. Availability and Delivery

SMS and MMS delivery is subject to mobile carrier networks, device compatibility, service availability, and other factors outside Community’s control.

Community does not guarantee that a message will be delivered or received within a particular period of time.

Recipients should not rely solely upon SMS messaging for emergencies or matters requiring immediate assistance.

9. Appropriate Use

Community’s SMS messaging program is intended solely for legitimate communications associated with Community’s contractual services.

Community employees are not authorized to use the SMS program for unrelated personal communications, unsolicited advertisements, mass marketing, prohibited content, or any other purpose inconsistent with Community’s policies or applicable law.

10. Privacy

Information obtained through SMS communications is handled in accordance with Community’s Privacy Policy.

SMS opt-in information and consent will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
