Congratulations to my law partners Harmony Taylor and Adam Marshall on being recognized as “Leaders in the Law” by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly! This prestigious award honors attorneys who have made a significant impact in both their profession and community.
Harmony focuses her practice on representing community associations (HOAs and condos) and is a Fellow of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL)—one of only 150 attorneys nationwide and just six in the Carolinas. She has co-chaired the NC Bar Association’s Community Association Law Group for the past two years and served for ten years on the NC Legislative Action Committee, including two as Chair. Harmony has played a key role in shaping legislation affecting community associations, working directly with lawmakers, drafting legislative proposals, and even authoring an amicus curiae brief for the NC Supreme Court in a landmark solar panel case. She is also a dedicated advocate for pro bono work and has earned recognition in the NC Pro Bono Honor Society for contributing 50+ hours of legal service annually.
Adam Marshall also focuses his practice on representing community associations and leads the firm’s land use, zoning, and planning section. A committed mentor, he regularly guides younger attorneys and has served as a Preceptor for law students at Elon University. His contributions to the legal profession extend to the Board of Law Examiners Candidate Review Committee, and he has held leadership roles on numerous city commissions, including past Chair and member of the Greensboro Zoning Commission and the Greensboro Criminal Justice Advisory Commission. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Greensboro Human Relations Commission and the Greensboro Board of Adjustment and is currently a Board Member of the Greensboro Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Board.
We’re proud to have such outstanding professionals on our team—congratulations, Harmony and Adam!
